Oddenstein gets a new head later today, after much arguemnt the several entities have decided upon a green cord material because it has instant wrinkles.

The furry stuff with the croc skin pattern was dismissed when the cloth began to moult - it was felt that a bald croc would not be macho enough and machismo is all you have when you are less than 2 feet long.

Don't you miss those days when the world's woes consisted of what everyone else was wearing and not having the confidence to be different?

Oddenstein has a new head with large flourescent green eyes. now he wants a new body to go with the new head - think I'll just wrap the old body in the new fabric, that'll give him a bit of extra girth and length.

I managed to buy a Stieff crocodile - very rare - and he has put himself at the top of the heap in the toy basket, have given him the name: Einstein - E=MC squared - since he and Oddenstein are slightly related...

Grin.

I think it is spreading, now even our man Taffy has lost his marbles. It must be a viral infection spreading from the site and making you all barking mad. (All except me of course).

ok, I give in. I scoured the site for evidence of you being a bit mad and the only thing I can come up with is ... that you are not mad at all. Fear not, there is time for you yet.

Oddenstein is still getting used to his new head and eyes, he says that he keeps falling out of his eye balls - optically-speaking - it must be a bit of a change over the old and damaged beady eyes.

They do give him a 180 degree by 360 degree panoramic view of the world - the closest that I can get to them would be my 35mm x 18mm fisheye lens and that makes me feel as though I am falling out of the lens.

I have added a very small croc to the cast of my cartoons, this one is called Einkleinstein, though I might make it female in which case it would be Einekleinesteine.

It is always difficult developing a character and odd sparks flow from the pen and little quirks appear.

Anyway I have Oddenstein to finish off first.

No he's still not finished, we know what cloth to use but we can't decide which way round the crinkles are to go and then there are the solar panels on the back and the heat pump to sort out.

Stein has managed to get a rip in his head, just round the left eye and is demanding a rebuild on the grounds that I was incompetent in the building process - it is all being decided by The Crocodile Contract Company...

I know what he wants because I have a large black, leather hide hidden in the sewing box, but that is for Nell when she comes up here next and if there is anything left over I shall donate it to Stein.

He'll have to wait until after the Poppy Appeal and then I have a pile of stuff to collate for the Fallen of Newark.

Talking of crocodillia are not politicians awful?

Here I am booked up to the eyeballs, months in advance and I am expected to drop everything at a moments notice and do the bidding of some politician who just sits on his damned backside and does bugger all!

Pardon my language, I rarely swear, but really...

Politicians are indeed an interesting breed. I once heard of a film with Jim Carey (I think) in which he could not lie. I would love to see what would happen in politics over just one week where every politician could not lie.

Perhaps we the great unwashed should demand that any politician found telling lies should be out for the remainder of the year (or permanently).
