Well it has come, the Notice Requiring Possession, which expires on 30th April 2010.

If necessary we can force them to go to court, which would give us another 2/3 months; might be necessary if there is no suitable property and the council will not rehouse you if you make yourself 'voluntarily homeless', in other words by moving out voluntarily.

Anyway at least we now know the worst.

Have spent the afternoon on the phone with OTs, Social Workers and Welfare Officers.

Tomorrow it is the CAB and Council Offices and put out a pile of letters to each of the letting agents.

Next week it is the solicitor to check the legal situation and the Framework Trust to see about alternative options.

Chris Green

Go to the newspapers Chris, and shame the landlord and the Council. You'll soon get offered a suitable Council Home !. And your local MP

Hello Chris and Nell, What a disgusting set up, this makes my Welsh temper boil, what is justice in today's standards? Who is your M.P.? perhaps we could all send him a note advising him of your plight,as he obviously is not aware of it ??? otherwise we are sure he would have given it his support. taffy

Well there are only 8 council-run wheelchair accessible properties in the Newark area and they are all taken; as to the whole of Nottinghamshire, there are 170 wheelchair-accessible properties and they are all taken.

As usual we shall have to seek a private landlord and see if we can get a long-term let with a decent landlord who is wiling to have adaptions put in to their property.

Very tired, currently, Nell and my GP have put me on a diet.

I suppose they are right, my cholesterol reading is 7.7 and the lypids are 4.2 and I am now officially obese - I'm a Homer Simpson lookalike!

The crocs and elephants are packed in their trunks and securely sealed with their bunks.

Oddenstein and Oddment remain out and about, they move in the luxury of my wheelchair when we have to move. The wheelchair 'Croc' travels in my pocket.

The reactive depression is wearing off and I am a lot fitter, have let myself go a bit while we have been waiting for the guillotine to fall.

Now that the reality is actual it is a lot easier to cope with because the practicalities of finding a new place to live come to the fore.

It now appears that I have maligned the landlord when it was not their fault - public apologies.

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

There is not enough capital in the estate to pay debts so the probate solicitor is forcing a sale of the property, usually done by auction so I cannot see the owner making much more than 100k on the deal because of the state of the property and the fact that it is at the top end of a dilapidated private road.

For those of you who are not aware of such things, a private road is one that has not been taken on by the Local Council, this means that owners are responsible for the care, repair, maintenance and upgrading of all utilities facilities and half of the road outside their property.

This is very expensive, e.g. BT put in a new telegraph pole and new lines and the owners had to come up with a joint payment of 1,200 each to pay for it.

Currently, negotiations are ongoing for getting the sewer main upgraded and the road resurfaced afterwards, this is likely to cost each owner in excess of 10k each.

Then there is the problem of the water table, which is dropping, and the gypsum that the house are built on, which is drying out and becoming seriously unstable with serious settlement; the chimney of the bungalow is slowly falling outwards - fortunately - and the rest of the property is subsiding badly.

In an odd sort of way, this having to move is good for us, otherwise we might have had to cope with a collapsing bungalow.

Now trundling around and putting in funding applications.

Trying to sort out my credit file, which Orange appear to have left some nasty stuff on from our dispute 2 years ago.

Hospital appointments tomorrow and the following week at ENT.

Waiting to have my wheelchair fixed.

Isn't it nice when you stop banging your head - could have done without Easter, it has blocked a lot of things from happening.

We've had to cancel some viewings because we have no money and we cannot proceed until we get some.

Companies House is trying to fine me for late filing of accounts, which were in in time, so more stress, and it is a dormant company, but, under the new regulations you can only get a company struck off if you cannot pay your creditors.

If, like this one, it is dormant and does not trade, then you are stuck with a company that you cannot get rid of.

Wheelchair is still waiting for a new controller, supposed to be coming early next week and the mobile engineer found another fault, which he fixed.

Considering that the chair was in their workshops for 2 days, the week before last, one has to wonder if they bothered to do anything to the chair?

Croc, who is the chair driver has been in the hot water, having a quarterly wash and brush up and his teeth cleaned. We shall have to make him another raincoat with a hood and a thermal suit for winter.

Isn't anthropomorphism wonderful?

It gives you a whole new view on life - grin.

We do not think we shall be able to move for 3 to 6 months, this being the amount of time necessary to get all of the funding.

Another hot day today and we were in the garden continuing the work left over from yesterday.

I've done a lot of pruning and now have a lot of shredding to do, a bit of pruning to finish, and the other half of the lawn will be done by Nell.

We have an ultra-lightweight, battery-powered lawn mower:- Bosch, Rotak 37 LI (lithium Iron).

Got the mower on special offer and less than 200, we are saving up for another battery so that we can have one on charge and one working; cost of new battery is 186.00.

The crocodiles spent the afternoon sunning themselves on the bench on the patio.

Sciatica from waist to soles of both feet, very bad today and I do not want to move though I spent an hour in the garden doing some more pruning and shaping; not really the right time to do it, but it is not the fault of the garden that we have to move.

We have Framework working with us and we have two case workers; my social worker is being kept informed and Nell has just got a social worker.

The OT on the physical side and the OT on the autism side have also been kept in the picture.

Moving is not simple for us, it involves a lot of people and organisations and, although it takes time, it should not cost us too much when it is affordable (because of the funding).

My speech is all over the place and not making much sense verbally, suspect it is the stress that is causing it, rather than another flare up of the CA.

Getting some mixed images currently where I am in black water and drowning (drowned when age 4) but am also surrounded by flame and burning (from explosion), a paradox and mutually incompatible - again I think it is caused by stress. I have reached a sense of maturity where these films are concerned and I can step back out of myself and watch this person who is me undergoing the experience of previous realities and I am aware of what is happening but I am also separate from it.

I think that I am subconsciously using the autism to compartment the PTSD and I can then cope with what is happening.

I am still seeing it in my minds eye, but it is more like the effect of a tank gunners graticle sight, where you can see through the sight and can then refocus the eye so as to see the graticle; though a better way to think of it is as a heads-up display in an aircraft cockpit.

The wheelchair will not be repaired until Thursday when they will be fitting a new controller to the chair - this is a complicated job, in that the details of the previous controller have to be swept from the chair's onboard computer and then the new controller's details have to be loaded, the system is then booted and started for the first time and then the flash drive has to be re-initialised and each of the functions has to checked, updated and put online and when everything is working on the engineer's laptop then the settings can be installed in the on-board computer.

It is originally a Swedish Chair, taken over by an American firm on the control systems while the rest of the chair has been taken over by the British firm of Invacare.

Consequently what should be a simple job of changing a controller - 1 minute maximum - has been turned into a three-ringed-circus because Americans have to complicate everything.

Let's face it, Newark is an old town and it is a Conservation Town with cobbled streets and very bumpy - I need a controller that is basic in design and does not break down if you breathe on it the wrong way.

Sigh, that's better!

The new controller was fixed and the wheelchair promptly broke down, now they think that the main computer is what is causing the problems.

Sigh, if this were a car or a private wheelchair then all of this would have been sorted out the first time, but it is an NHS chair and that means budgetry constraints and each piece of kit has to be passed before it can be tried on the chair. So far it has taken 6 weeks.

The Wheelchair Service say that their Rules mean that I cannot have a replacement chair because they need to have a permanent address and that it needs to be assessed and since we are moving I cannot have a replacement chair - Oh BUGGER!

Then I am supposed to be polite to these people and I have been until I met someone who thinks that I should speak the way that they want me to speak, despite telling them that this is my normal speaking voice, which does not modulate - if you pay your staff peanuts, then one must expect monkeys - in this case it is moronic monkeys.

Oddenstein was out working on his 4th dimensional vegetable plot and was using an old bus suspension spring and a lever.

Meanwhile Oddment was lounging in the sun when he was suddenly showered with water from many leaks.

Oddenstein was 'springing leeks'.
