Harbour by Moonlight

I sit alone at eventide
Watching the twilight scene
The light from a slowly rising Moon
Casting a reflection like a silken sheen
Across the calm somnambulant waters
Of a busy Harbour now asleep
Apart from the eager eyes of the camera man
Who’s regular watch he’ll keep
Still the constant flop of the water
Against the ancient Harbour stone wall
And apart from the boats bobbing on the moorings
Very little sound at all
The Lighthouse giving a mere glimmer
In surrounding s lightened by the moon
The calm ness of the water predicting perhaps
A perfect Dawn breaking soon
When once again the Harbour will spring to life
As the fishing boats to the Sea must go
Will their trips be rewarded today
Nobody will ever know
Except when the boats return on the ebb
To the safety of home once more
All of their catch carefully packed in ice
Unloaded upon the shore
But for now the camera is packed away
After another successful night
Collecting images of Natures beauty
Not in view to most folks sight

Hello Dennis,
A fishing harbour at night is particularly atmospheric and you have certainly captured every nuance.
I love the idea in the - "calmness of the water predicting a perfect dawn."
Much enjoyed.
God Bless,
Richard
