Fathers Day Dementia

Sit and close your eyes for a while
Think of the years that have passed
Life travels at an amazing speed
Weeks, months and years go so fast
As Children we are lucky to have parents
They teach us the good and whatís bad
With a watchful eye of Mother
Accompanied by an everloving Dad
But sometimes fate deals a hand thatís not fair
Or thatís the way it may seem
Having to deal with Dementia is hard
But the Family then may act as a Team
The Love that was shown to you as a child
When growing you needed to learn
Now is the time to remember that Love
Which you readily give back to Dad in return
Tho some may think heís different these days
To you heís your Dad just the same
Except that some times you have to read his face
If itís difficult for him to remember your name
And every year thereís a special day
Fatherís Day as itís known far and wide
So show him and tell him how much you love him
With open arms that embrace him inside.
