We saw an accessible bungalow in Farndon and have accepted it and the agent is taking the necessary steps to get a tenancy in place. The rent is the same as here and the deposit and admin fees are very reasonable.

It is a deceptive building because from the outside it appears to be small but when you go inside it is quite large and the sitting room would get about halp of our current bungalow into it.

There are handrails everywhere and an accessible shower and the doorways are quite wide.

It is a bit tardis like because the bungalow is at one end of a circular cul-de-sac and the kitchen and cloakroom and garage are at the front and then the bungalow radiates out to a huge sitting/dining room; large main bedroom; dinky second bedroom, which I have lined up for myself; a third room is going to be my study; bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower; huge conservatory with underfloor heating.

The garden is small and vaguely triangular with a small wooded area at the bottom of the garden, lots of birds and squirrels.

I have put down a holding fee and paid for the referencing to be done, so that is BP200.00 paid up front.

We have given the 14th June 2010 as our moving day and we shall be in Farndon, which is 2 miles from Newark, so we do not have to change any of our medical arrangements.

I shall miss the people here, just been getting to know them.

On the other hand there are other people to meet and make new friends and it will be the same for Nell so she will not feel so left out of the process as last time.

If there are I doubt whether they will survive Oddenstein's vehicle-mounted, multi-barrel elephant gun aka an anti-aircraft gatling cannon on a tank chassis.

My speech is improving slightly, as long as I do not have to answer questions that require thought to answer, I seem to be OK.

Suspect it could be the stress, which is horrendous, at the moment, because we are just waiting for other people to do things and we seem to be drifting in the winds of obscurity while unseen people appear to do nothing.

Nell is battling constant migraines and pain in her kidneys and chest and her emotions are frazzled because she has never experienced this level of house moving before, where the majority of the decisions are made by people you never meet.

But at the same time she is having to field for me, where the telephone is concerned because I am finding myself unable to understand a lot of the callers, who could be speaking in Serbo-Croat for all I know.

One goes to the trouble of writing to everyone who is likely to try and phone me, explain about the autism and not being able to understand verbal info, but they still phone one, despite being asked to send an email - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Stress levels are much lower but the speech difficulties are still there; I was hoping that the improvement was due to lessening stress.

Ah, well, I shall do as I have done for nearly 40 years and take the world as a day at a time and shall accept what one is and hope that others accept us as well.

There is a sense of deep philosophising within one's innermost thoughts and the sense that one does not really understand what is happening, but, nevertheless, one is trying to make sense from the chaos and to reduce the maelstrom of emotions and conflicting agenda to an orderly and easily-workable, daily task.

We are waiting for the references to come back favourably and that is taking longer because of the Bank Holiday, I realy do think that Government should amalgamate all of the religious and economic holidays in a mid-summer splurge where the country closes down for 2 weeks.

The there is the other end of the scale at the nadir of annual festivities, the horrible bunfight created in 1931 by Coka-Cola (TM) and the ghastly Father Christmas in a red coat of coke colour. Perhaps if this became a generic holiday whereby we all just close the country down for the last 2 weeks in December and the first 2 weeks of January.

Framework think that we should know by Friday 4th June, that being the day that we have to pay the deposit and one month in advance, but it is coming down to the wire and we are finding the stress to be terrible.

SSAFA can't give us an answer for at least 2 months, so we shall treat them as a retro-active payment to sort all the bills out at the end of the process.

RBL cannot give us a reply before the 2nd of June, so that takes us very much down to the wire on this one as well.

Meanwhile Nell is worried that we may lose the bungalow because of all of these delays, however we have paid the holding payment and Framework are negotiating with the letting agents of both properties to see if we can move in mid-month, thus making June into a pro rata month - don't think that our current agent will go for it, because they seem to be one of those that are very lax on giving a property to a tenant but very strict when taking it back, greedy buggers, can't say that I trust them overly, but Framework say that they will make certain the cash comes back even if they have to go to court to do it.

Still packing and now working on the kitchen and getting the appliances clean and the fridge and freezer emptied and dry.

I'm working to a move on the 14th June and will continue with this until one has to revise the dates due to money not being forthcoming.

We even have an option and a large van for moving ourselves should there be a reduction in monies from grants.

It is the waiting that is soul-destroying and the not knowing what is happening, unfortunately in house moving 'no news usually means bad news'.

it is the first day of June, today, and I have decided to be more positive on the housing side,at least, shall phone RBL Welfare in Derby and see if they are going to do anything in terms of either a deposit or the removal's costs.

If they can come up with the cost of removal that would ease the problem of getting a lot of very breakable stuff over to Farndon with minimal damage, where as if we do it ourselves I can see there being a lot of breakages.

Mentally I feel very strong today, though I woke up at 5am with severe pain from the sciatica and arthritis so I do not feel like doing much in a physical sense, though we have the Unique Scrapstore coming at 10am to take some furniture and a lot of computer spares (not worth anything), so shall have to be dressed and about to make certain that they only take what has been allocated to them.

Then I have my father's workbench to partly disassemble and the carpets in the garage to lift (yes, I do carpet my garages, it makes them a bit warmer and I paint them white in order to get the maximum light inside).

Oh, joy, found out that I have to fill in the referencing form again because the referencing company (in the old days the letting agent did it all) did not like the fact that I had read the small print and noted that they are and have been since 1999 been required to provide opt out tick boxes on their form.

This is because, if you just write a letter there is no certainty that by the time it arrives that they have not already sold your name on; most computer based referencing businesses automatically send names as part of the daily data dump, which is why the Data Protection Act Amendment 1999 came about.
