Put it this way, if i had that kind of power I would never reveal myself, I would just continue to pull the strings from the background and get incredibly rich from it. :)
I think the problem would arise if you were that powerful, but had an equally powerful ego, then you would want everyone to know its you.

I do not think that it is possible to have a truly benign power in human society because of the huge mix of personalities and personal philosophies (we all believe in something even if that is nothing, i.e. nihilism).

Equally I do not believe in the divine, the good or the evil because all of us are a sort of grey, we may be more white than black or more black than white but we are all grey: most of us are neither too good nor too evil and are basically looking out for 'number one' and making certain that they, themselves does not get 'walked on' by others with similar goals.

People often think of power as being rich, politically powerful, but these are poor seconds to religious power and the power of love.

Some of the biggest con-artists have used both religion and love to gain power, a scoot through any criminal archive will show you lots of cases of fraud based on the big triangle of love, jealousy and hate.

I do not believe in the power of the individual so much as that person being a nexus or focus from which others derive power, e.g. the primitive Christian Church before the Conclave at Nicea and the Emperor Constantine, who declared Christianity to be the State Religion and thereby took on power from the many factions and schisms that the church had become.

Constantine also issued the Nicean Creed, which is a statement of what Christians believe, but this was a document that came about by political will rather than by the cults themselves.

Thus political power was increased through the use of peoples' personal philosophies and the 'love' that they felt for their God.

It is important to consider that in reality there is no separation between motives, ideas, needs or wants, but rather there is an amalgamation which expresses itself in a particular direction dependent upon what a person can identify as their most pressing need.

Our most basic needs are food and water, warmth and shelter and all our other 'needs' have grown out of these instinctive requirements for a comfortable life.

Now let us consider the people who surround a leader, a power person, a guru or whatever.

If the leader is good, are all of his followers?

If one only is tainted then this will infiltrate all areas and though the intentions may be good, what of the one who has a different agendum to that of his leader?

Can a small amount contaminate the whole; regretably it is so.

Everything in human society is wrapped up in politics, from the earliest time of our lives until we step from our mortal coil, and politics is power and empowerment and getting what we want from others and learning that all power is dependent upon what others' want, and learning how to manipulate others in order to achieve what the individual wants.

As to the Illuminati, they have been around for millennia, with different names but the same basic organisation; they have been linked to the Knights Templar and down to the Primitive Church.

Humans have a need for secrets and to hide things, which could go back to the troglodytic existence of the lithic and neolithic.

Power and power-seekers are everywhere and far more common than most people think they are.

One has moved, though as a split personality it is more accurate to say that we have moved, since thought is that of a difraction through a prism and thoughts are separated into colour bands it is inaccurate to assume that 'I' am.

I don't see anything wrong with religion if it is viewed from a social welfare sense, nor do I think that people are more gullible if they believe in a god or gods.

Oddenstein calls them customers, mind you he has sold a non-existent swamp 47 times so far.

In the old days when religion was compulsory people had visions of God, angels, etc. now, post-Roswell and ET people see aliens and flying saucers.

Take any group of people who witness the same event and question them straight away, 50% must have been somewhere else, 45% may have been somewhere near and 5% may remember the majority of what happened.

One month later and 100% will believe that they saw whatever they are told that they saw, no matter how ridiculous.

This follows several studies in memory (in NTs) most notable Cambridge in Massachusets and The Maudsley in London, where studies were carried out into witness reliability for law enforcement and legal bodies. Following on from this was a study in Neuropathy and Memory at UCL (London).

This raises some interesting queries where books, which are written years after the event, ar concerned, e.g. the New Testament, the earliest book was written 30 years after the death of Iasus Christus.

As an autistic I cannot understand the NT need to believe in things beyond themselves - unless this is simplified down to a need for simple answers to complex ideas, which begs the question, are all genii autistic - grin.

The joys of logic can lead to some 'wierd' combinations of thought.

That is not to say that we deny the existence of God, after all Oddenstein replaced the local god with himself and demanded that all offerings should be in bales of kapok, preferably unburned.

I did a 2 year course with The ' American Institute of Memory ', Chris.
I now memorise 100 digit phone numbers, dcks of playing cards, useless lists like all 44 American Presidents, in Chronological date order, including all their first, middle and last names. The 105 chemical elements of the chemical table. All 37 Member states of the EEC ( In 7 seconds ! ) etc. ( and the odd long shopping list ). But can I find where I put the car keys ? ( No ! )
Catch ya later

I suppose you could have a lockable keybox for the car keys and then another keybox for the key of the keybox for the key of the keybox to the power of 'i', but you still need to chain the last remaining key to your belt or waistcoat.

Alternatively, you could throw the key away and use a voice activated ignition system linked to your driving seat, which weighs you and passes sarcastic comments if you increase in either size or weight.

Meanwhile the car has intelligent programming and it has a bout of the sulks if you do not spend, at least, half and hour talking to it before driving off.

Your car will tell you when it would like to be serviced, if it needs to be cleaned and if you fail to please the software it will lock you out until you clean the boot and drop some oil into the engine.

We are but a small step away from the intelligent car that demands that the driver controls should be removed and that the entire road system needs to be redesigned with sensor plates every 3 inches so that the car knows where it is and can carry out a giga-tarrabyte conversation with every other vehicle in the swampiverse.

I suppose you could generate income from memorising the minutae of popular music, film and tv with general knowledge and then do game shows.

I don't rate an eidetic memory too highly, after all it is just a vast system of indexing; where-as one should be cross-referencing the accumulated data to find new viewpoints and ideas and obscure inter-relations.

I feel the need to spend some time in a padded cell or down on the tank range with a heavy machine gun and an unlimited supply of analogue television sets - spectacular when they implode after being torn apart by 0.5 inch, exploding tip, bullets from a ranging machine gun.

I spent many happy hours up the ranges with a variety of weaponry, there is something cathartic about making a lot of noise and feeling all of one's stress drain away.

Nowadays I have to let the creatures loose and get them to go off and enjoy themselves.

Got trigeminal neuralgia, the pain twists through my throat, ear, jaw, nose, eye and face. All associated nerves are inflamed and left side of face feels raw. One side only and it feels like having a stroke and one cannot speak properly and the face droops.

Had real heavy meds yesterday and this a.m. so not in much pain, just lack coord, eyes keep wandering from side to side - v dissed.

Some days later, still got the after-effects of the trigem neuralgia, can't co-ord too well and everything feels mis-shapen and swollen; my face is still limp and my mouth still droops.

Feels a bit like a minor stroke but know that I shall be ok in a week, as long as I do not get another severe bout anytime soon.

Would like to be able to sleep, but just doze and get on with doing things wrongly and v slowly. Oh bugger!
